Freedom Wars Wiki

Only recently - with help of a certain PSVita hack - people have found a way to cheat.

Freedom Wars DLC Cheat Sample Weapon

Although its pretty interesting, I do NOT condone usage of such methods.

Why interesting? I'll show you why.

Each weapon has a category, right? Each category has an ID. Each Weapon itself is another ID. What would happen, if we look deeper into it?

ID - Weapon Name
Assault:
WG1_0000 - EZ Katze I
WG1_0001 - EZ Katze II Ausf. G
WG1_0006 - Arisaka MK 1
WG1_0007 - Arisaka Mk2
...
Portable artillery:
WG3_0000 - AAW-M2
WG3_0001 - AAW-M2E1
WG3_0006 - EZ Nashorn III
...
Autocannons:
WG4_0000 - MG-M7
WG4_0001 - MG-M7/E1
WG4_0006 - EZ Wolf I Aust. F
WG4_0007 - EZ Wolf II
...
Light melee:
WS1_0000 - Murasame Mk 9
WS1_0001 - Murasame Mk 12
...
Heavy melee:
WS2_0000 - TB-32/H
WS2_0001 - TB-32/Custom
...
Polearms:
WS3_0000 - L-GE1
WS3_0001 - L-GE1 Custom

You get the Drift. WS means Weapon Sword, WG is Weapon Gun.
But look at the numbers again, do you see something missing?
There are only 3 Categories per type, but why goes WG up to 4, skipping WG2 entirely?

Easy. Because ID "WG2_0000" is Weapon "ID_ITM_MWP_0036" or also known as Polaris
YES. WG2 is for the handguns and only a handful (sry the pun) works.
Note: I didn't see the actual model myself, so I can't confirm if WG2_0000 is the Polaris or one of the other handguns w/o a name.
However, we can be sure one or more ID in WG2 can give different handguns.

Does this apply to something else? Since we know, there are 4 Categories per Weapon Type,
so what happens, if we curiously write WS4_0000 ?
WS4_0000 - KD-M2
WS4_0035 - ID_ITM_MWP_0287

Woooow... Now this is some serious sh*z... We can access the hidden weapons.
But not equip them T_T

This begs the question: Why were handguns cut from the final game?

Lets check this again in the next episode of Cheats and Stuff.

And oh I forgot, there is this super rare material called Shungite
